Sorry to upset Red again, but it does not do this on mine.

I can set the 'default all' and it goes to 2 sec, exit the app, restart and it's still 2:00. I can change it to, say, 4:00, exit, and come back, it's still 4:00. And back to 'default all' = 2:00 , and round we go again. This is on my Win98SE install.

The field "Default time between CD tracks" is always reset to 60:00 (each time the "Options -> Preferences -> Editing" is displayed).

If I try to decrement this value with the up-down arrows, the value changes to 59:74, 59:73, 59.72, only if I keep the mouse button down. When I release the mouse button and do that again, the cycle begins again : 59.74, 59.73, ...
Strange values !

If I enter 15 manually in "Default time between CD tracks" field and click Apply, the value changes to 0:15.
Then I click Ok, and when I come back to the field, it displays 15:15 !
I click Ok again, I come back to the field one more time and it's now 60:00...

Obviously, there should be a bug somewhere.

Notes:

I'm running Windows98SE French version.
The default Windows separator for time is ":".

Clearly there is something screwy with your CDA5 and/or Windows. It may be a bug that appears in CDA5 in conjunction with French Win98SE, but it is *not* a universal CDA5 bug. It could also be unique to your computer.

Have you tried de/re-installation ?

I've just found out what's happening.

The bug occurs when the grouping symbol for numbers is set to a space character in the Windows regional settings.
So, I changed the grouping symbol to a comma and now the problem with Default time in CDA is fixed.
I remember I've had a similar problem in Acid 3 with Start Offset in Event Properties.
Although it's not a severe bug, I think that SoFo should take care of regional settings in future updates.

However, there is still a strange thing : if the Default time in CDA is set to 2:00, a single click on the down arrow displays 1:74. Why 74, and not 59 or 99 ?

Djipy, that last number is probably referring to CD audio disc frames, of which there are 75 per second. This is the smallest unit of data that can be read from/written to an audio disc.

Djipy:

Indeed, the "space as units separator" bug. It's been fixed for most of our applications, but apparently not for CDA5. Sorry about that, we'll make sure it gets fixed.

And yes, those times are in CD frames, 75 per second.
