Bug in project media search

SCS support does not seem interested in responding to this, so I'll post it here. One of the SCS developers who lurk may take note.

VP13 b310,b373

Here is what I entered for my support ticket. 140630-000094

1) Create a new project
2) Add a video file
3) Add an audio file (I tried WAV and MP3)
4) Add any video effect as Media FX to the video file
5) In the project media window use search and "Media FX greater than 0" for the search.

BUG: The search results will always include ALL audio files in addition to those video files that match the search criteria.

Another BUG related to media fx searches.
Save the above search as a smart bin and then try to edit the smart bin search expression. The original search expression is not defaulted in the dialog as documented.

I tested this edit feature with a search of "type does not contain WAV" and saved the smart bin and then edited the search expression and it was as expected/documented.

Norman, REPRO-ed!

That is just so very very wrong.

C'mon SCS . . . . Why have a search that reveals NON-FX-ed Media using a Media FX Search? This is not what the User expects. As to the not the default thing? Well, I kinda get that - or do I?

Good catch Norman.

Norman, try NOT adding a Media FX and repeating the Search. I get the WAV file.

So, with or without the addition of a Media FX, the search still pulls in the WAV. Why?

All of this is REPRO-ed in VP12 B770 too. So, it must've been going on for a long time now.

Anybody got VV3?

Thanks Grazie. Always nice to know I am not completely full of stuff.

Not 0. Not 100. Somewhere in between. ;-)
