Bug List for Vegas 5

I've seen mention disappointment in 5.0d not have any bug fixes in it. So, since we know that the next thing we'll probably see is Vegas 6, why don't we, in an ORDERLY fashion, list here all the known bugs for Vegas so they can be sure to know about them fo Vegas 6.

Rule:
No discussions here! Just bugs and easy repros. Don't just say, "recording doesn't work". You have to list a step by step reproduceable scenario. I would list a few if I weren't so darn tired, but I thought I'd get this started...

thanks, and here's to hoping Vegas 6 is even more solid than Vegas 5

Central channel goes to Lest channel when Mixdown Output is depressed in the 5.1 mixing mode. It should be evenly distributed between L and R, if not attenuated/defeted following the AC-3 export setup.
A DTS encoding plug-in would be more than welcome.

The metronome bug. Sony has acknowledged this so there's no need to go into the details for the 50th time.

1. Metronome bug, as drbam mentions above. Much talked about on this forum and it’s been around for way too long; there's no excuse about this one.

2. Not 100% strictly a bug - but certainly a change in functionality that occurred with Vegas 5 makes little. I'm talking about Sony's 'redesign' of the audio routing path in this version so that bus and aux sends no longer reflect track pan position. See this thread:

http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?Forum=19&MessageID=325342

This change in routing from previous versions feels to me to be a illogical a bizarrely arbitrary decision; no one seems to want the routing to work this way. I hope it's mistake by Sony that's fixed in the next update.

3. A seemingly random bug and therefore hard to repro. After placing markers or regions in a file in the trimmer and either hitting save (to save the markers) or closing the trimmer window, Vegas often throws up this error:

"An error occurred while saving one or more files. The file could not be opened because some other application already has it open."

I've only even seen this since Vegas 5. The problem is, no other application has the file open. I've also checked that the file's read-only, and it definitely isn't.

4. Although the Media Pool arranges file alphabetically, arranges all the files beginning with capital letters first and only once it's done all of them does it arrange the files starting with lowercase. So, the result is that the files are not ordered correctly. This was acknowledged as a bug by Sony back in October but not yet fixed.

5. Again a bug that's difficult to reproduce, as only seems to happen 50 per cent of the time for me. Dragging a plug from the Plug-In Manager to an empty part or the top of the Mixer should create a new Assignable FX. It always did so in previous versions of Vegas, but in Vegas 5 sometimes nothing happens and the FX is not added.

That’s all I have for the time-being.
