BUG: VEGAS 13 / 14 - Corrugated interlaced video ONLY with Preview (Full)

Interesting . . . . Nick is showing Combing in VP12, but our OP is good in VP12 @ Preview Full.

Applying Preview Full, I've just checked my native Canon XF300 MXF Interlace UFF MPEG Video in VP12 and VP14 by scrubbing back and forth, no Combing as per Nick's video. But I most definitely can INDUCE it!

  • In Preview FULL "Scale to fit Preview Window" OFF
  • Have my External Monitor Deinterlace option OFF

However, my combing is minimal compared to that Hay Raked output!

Tested in Vegas Pro 10, 12, 13 and 14 (including back to 10 and 12 at the end for a 2nd look):

Thank you. You're right. It is a permanent "feature" in all versions. I was convinced that Vegas 12 works properly, but it does not work. I'm sorry, but I'm still convinced that this is a mistake.

Please Magix to this unwanted "feature" removed.

@P-K: I'm not getting combing of that magnitude, so much so just adding the Deinterlace filter removes it, plenty good for Previewing.

Could it be the actual media that hasn't been configured/optimsed to work correctly with Vegas, by the DevTeam? As I say, my MXF MPEG HDCAM output is good to go.

Have you got a copy of Catalyst to check it out?
