build 247!! how many times do I have to....
.... uninstall, reinstall VMS 11, do the 247 update and redo the 64 bit patch before VMS 11 works for me? I ask questions several times under different ways... but nobody seems to want to give me the great help I need.... I am so frustrated.... I managed to get the rendering problem "fixed" but it crashes in the editing work, and the help ? contents have been wiped out time and time again..... I see it , I don't see it.... (build 247 problems)
SO>... HELP somebody I really want this to work.....

Actually not so long ago I started a thread about the build 247 and the crashes during editing and you did not show up, so... do not complain that nobody helps you :-))

Actually, what I have done (because I also was frustrated by the continuous crashes), I totally uninstalled the software and then installed it again using the build 247 .exe file (which is actually a complete setup file).
Things now seems much better and more stable.
In other words, it seems that the build 247 should NOT be installed on top of the previous build (ver. 231).
Just unistall everything and launch the build 247 exe .file
Try this and let us know if it works.

Sorry Roberto65... I.actually found it , I was not involved in there!!!.... But thanks for your answer anyway...The problem remains the same...
I must mention that I DID NOT installed build 247 OVER 231.... I only downloaded build 247 and did the 64bit work around...AFTER installing VMS11 from the CD. in that order.
When I reinstalled VMS11 platinum I did see the help contents... but once the update 247build and the 64bit work around done ... the contents and ? are gone...
The rendering part seems stable, (64bit corrected it) but the crashes in editing are frustrating.. (247build... culprit).SO what can I do to get this working?

As I wrote in your other post, when I asked Sony Tech Support of they were planning a new build to fix the continuous editing crashes, they answered that they believe the SW is pretty stable.

When I uninstalled everything and installed the build 247 only, things effectively seems to get better.
I am curious to know what will they answer you.

PS: I have to say the the tech support, at least for what concerns my experience, got better. Answer within a reasonable time (few days), kindness, and the feeling that they really want to help. I sense that somebody in there understood that the former customer support was not really at the same level as the company name... ;-)

Thanks Roberto65, I managed to "fix" my problem by uninstalling VMS 11 PE then reinstalling the current version FROM THE UPDATES, DOWNLOAD LINK... BUILD 247....
and the 64bits fix......
So far so good... the help contents and ? work.
