Building projection questions

We are prepping for an event and would like to include some building projections

Where can one go to get some info on setting up and calibrating projectors and what type and lumens would be required
Also when photographing the building any suggestions?

The animation and compositing is not a problem but I need to know some details before we go ahead

Any ideas?

I know some folks on the forum have experience in this

Thanks
Rory

Hello Rory,
are you speaking about projecting images on the sides of buildings?
At night or during the day (on the shadow side of a building)?

Here are a couple of examples of the night projections on buildings...
Not for you certainly, but for others who may not have seen any of this quality or magnitude ...

Here are a couple of links to the preparation steps (without any equipment or setup details):

I'm still looking for a few more sites with a bit more detail.

So, it appears no real in-depth detail is available online (to this point anyhow) but there are a couple of people who chat it up and might be willing to help out with technical and practical preparations.

Here's a takeoff on the display versions ... with the cart full of equipment and list of what is required - scroll down a bit to the image and directions...

It is just a matter of time before we can change the colors during the drawing and have an artist actually draw something with it on a huge canvas ... that might be fun...
