Burned disc audio pops

I burned two DVDs of the same project and the audio pops for the first 10 minutes or so. It was a large size (4.4gigs DVDA claims, though Windows says 3.85gigs and there is no menu whatsoever for it, just straight video), so I don't know if that is the cause, but have you guys heard of this problem? I didn't find anything on it, but I guess I'll just re-prepare it, because the output MPEG2 file is fine.

My guru buddy just corrected his popping problem which was caused by the DVD player. He threw in a new one and that corrected same.The old player voulume was internally set too high and was clipping.
