burning 16:9

Everytime I try to burn the DVD it comes out in a form that not fills out the entire screen. It seem like the only way to get an uncompressed 19:9 image is to accept the smaller size that fills out only 2/3 of the screen.I have ticked PAL widescreen in properties in Vegas,Under render as I have choosed DVD PAL, as there is no alternative ( as DVD wide PAL)I tick strech video to fill output frame size( do not letterbox)
.In architect I choose PAL wide in video media settings,
Despite these setting the final product comes out as either a small 16:9 or a compressed 4;3.
Draught sent to whom solve this problem

Just got my first 16:9 PAL DVD back from replication. Yes you CAN make a 16:9 PAL DVD using Vegas and DVDA. Piece of cake actually. Was your original footage 16:9?
Which version of DVDA are you using?

Haven't used DVDA 1 but looking now it has a Widescreen template.
However do recall there being issues with and 16:9 PAL, something about the menus.
Did you encode the footage using a 16:9 (widescreen) template?
That might be your problem.
