I have DVDA running on a W2K machine with a Pioneer 105 dvd burner. I have been trying to get it to burn at 4x speed, and I do not think it is. It takes 45min to produce a dvd with 1hr30min of video and 1 menu. The size of the disk is approx 4.2 GB.
I will choose the 4.0X speed in the DVDA buring menu, I have tried the trick of waiting to push in the tray until it asks for it.
I have upgraded the firmware of the 105 to 1.33.
I have tried 3 types of media- 2 of which were "4x certified", some generic, but even a Pioneer brand 4x disc took the same time.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Bob
