Burning an audio CD from avi

I would like to make a cd for a regular cd player from the audio file that I captured from my dv camera. I'm using screenblast movie studio 3.0.

My tip would be to click on the sound track and open it in Soundforge.
There you can save the file as a WAV or MP3 (I believe) and you can then use e.g. MusicMatch and create the audio CD.

I have tried to open it in different sound editing programs, but I can't save it to a .wav file, for some reason. Is there something I might be missing?
