Haven't upgraded yet. Want to know if any users has successfully burned projects to DL discs with booktype settings recorded as DVD-ROM on the media. Or is there an option in DVDA3 to change booktype settings. Is this done automatically? TIA!!!
Some DL burners will automatically set the booktype to DVD-ROM when burning DL +R disks. www.cdrinfo.com has a lot of burner reviews, check to see if your burner is one that does this (Pioneer does, for example).
The real trick is to find a burner that will let you set the booktype on SL +R, and for those, DVDA doesn't have a way to specify this (but Nero does).
My NEC DVD burner (best purchase ever) has a firmware upgrade that you can choose how it should handle +R media. Now whenever I burn a +R disk whether it be DL or not, it burns as DVD ROM. It's great.
