burning DVD with DVD MovieFactory - question!

Hi. I'm still a bit new to this and need some advice. I've burned a couple short movies (8 minutes) to DVD. I encoded my VF movie to AVI, then used Ulead MovieFactory to encode that AVI into a DVD...

I'm now ready to burn a 35 minute movie to DVD and am looking for the optimal process. Is there any good reason for me to buy the MPEG2 encoder and encode to that with VF before using MF to burn to DVD? Or will the above process work as well.

Please help quick! Thanks.

If you are using MF to burn avi to DVD, then the encoder built into MF is adequate.

Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on something that would provide better quality or performance. My small projects turned out nicely.

I'm creating MPEG in VF or Pinnacle and then using that MPEG in Ulead DVD Movie Factory.
Would there be a reason NOT doing it that way.?
