Burning Error

Hi,
I Just installed a Sony DRU-710A DVD drive and am trying to burn from DVDA. Each time the operation will get to 98% and then I get an error saying "The current operation has timed out", the details are,

SFMMCX-[17]
atapi-[1]
sonydvd rw dru 710a byo3
module mmc.cpp line 1261

I have tried several brands of media, ( including Sony) all DVD+R.,
I have reinstalled the software,
I have run a diagnostic test on the drive which I downloaded from the Sony site ( it passed 100%),
I have downloaded the patch for DVDA,
I have e-mailed Sony tech support with my problem and have not received a response.

Please Help

DVDA is known to have issues with various burners. Download a trial copy of CopyToDVD from www.vso-software.fr and see if it will burn the project that was prepared by DVDA. If CopyToDVD works, then you have an inexpensive alternative.

Totally different companies both with the same name of Sony. Try what I suggested.

I had the exact same problem too. I have a sony DRU-710a burner and just got Vegas Movie Studio. My burns always die at 99%!!! So far, technical support has been unresponsive. Please let me know if there is a fix to this!

Simply burn in NERO instead DVDARc
