Burning my First DVD with DVDA4

So I have my first project I'm trying to create in DVDA 4 and I'm not sure I'm doing things correctly.

I have a recital I shot and edited in Vegas Pro 8. I have create chapter markers on the timeline with each song performance on the same video track which dissolves in and out according to the song performed. I want to export out the video to DVDA and then have those chapter points I created to be individual navigation elements for the DVD menu I'm trying to create. I can't seem to find a way to get the individual chapter points to show up as separate navigational elements in DVDA.

This is my first time working with DVDA and the process seems quite daunting - I've never had a need to learn the app until now.

Any advice on what I am doing incorrectly? I thought I could render out the timeline and have Vegas Pro save each clip separately, but there doesn't seem to be that option. How do I get these chapter points to connect correctly in DVDA?

Are you using the DVDA template when you render the Mpeg with the markers saved during the render?

Search the manual's index or the online help for "Adding a Scene Selection Menu." Sounds like you want the section titled, "Create a menu that returns to the scene selection menu after playing the selected chapter."

Ahh - That might be the issue - I rendered an AVI instead of the MPG.

I'll give that a shot and see what happens.

Cliff, Rob is correct about using the Scene Selection menu.
I've done a number of plays over the years and use this feature all the time.
My main menu has a "Play All" button and a "Scene Selection button.
The "Play All " button obviously plays the entire play.
Clicking the "Scene Selection" button allows the viewer to go to a specific portion of the play.
When you go into the Scene Selection, simply add the rendered video as many times as needed.
This won't take up any more space on your hard drive.
Rather, it allows you to identify each scene accoridng to your markers.
In & out points must be defined if this feature is to work correctly.
Once you're into your scene selection menuu, double-click the first one.
Now mark the In point by clicking "I" and the out point by clicking "O".
Go to the next scene selection item and repeat.

Once I rerendered out to mpeg for DVDA, everything works as it should :-)

DVDA is actually a sweet program - having never used it before.
