Burning problems 5.2/Pioneer/Taiyo

Hi. I don't know if this has been previously addressed, but there seems to be a problem with using 5.2, a FireWire Pioneer DVR-109 and Taiyo-Yuden CD-R's. They won't burn faster than 4X, and I've had a couple burn incorrectly, with the audio and index numbers offset. No problems with off-the-shelf TDK CD-R's with this combo. The Taiyos work fine with 5.0a. Is anybody else using this setup successfully?

Very similar problem here ... CDA 5.2 Max Speed, Pioneer DVD109 IDE internal DVD/CD burner, RiDATA 52X CD-R, burned to temporary image, no buffer underrun protection, UDMA Mode 2 ..... CDA has only 4X and Max as drive speed options. Test burn is abt 4X.

Vegas 4.0 is similar ... offers 1X, 2X, 4X, Max options only.

CDA 5.2 on another machine with Pioneer DVR 108 burns at 16X with these disks.

Seems to be a problem with the standard Windows driver on the DVR 109 with CD use ..... As if Windows XP only wants to use the DVD max speed for CD's.

That seems to have done the trick. Thanks!
