Button Highlighting - setting defaults ?

Probably something simple I am overlooking -
Is there some way to change which button gets highlighted by default when a menu is opened?
Sometimes after an initial layout of a menu I will get a default highlight setup in my preview that I hadn't anticipated
I know I can change this by moving the button around and renaming it but I am thinking that DVD Arch must provide a more elegant way to do this

thanks fultro

If you're using DVDA 2, you can move them around in the Project Overview window; just click and drag them to swap places. This won't have any affect on the buttons' placement, but it will change the order in which they're navigating. First in the list would be highlighted by default.

If you're using DVDA 1...I forget, but there probably isn't a way. I still have it on another computer, I'll check if you need to know.

OK - I see how that works finally - it turns out that in my novice efforts to reposition image and text I had scrambled various buttons and associated text - which really screwed up my highlighting when I tried to move buttons in the Project overview window - I hav estraightened it out now - thanks

but I am wondering if there are any ttricks to keeping all this sorted out - that is the spatial relationship between the text and images seems a bit difficult to manage - I know it is probably a matter of mastering the alignment buttons - but some thing seems a little awkward about this right now
thanks again fultro

Precisely right. DVDA's kind of picky with regard to naviation and having your buttons lined up. For example, if you you have three buttons aligned (mostly) vertically, but the middle one is a bit off kilter, by default, going down from button One might skip button Two and go right to button Three. Luckily, you can also go to the Properties window for any button and change its Navigation settings to force DVDA to use your navigation scheme (ie, going Down from button one always goes to button Two...even if button Two is across the screen ;).
