You can change the color set fairly easily. Click on the button; on the right the object properties will show the active/selected/inactive color sets. Modify the color set or select a different color set.

Make sure you modify all four entries for Color Set 1. Doubl-click on the first entry to bring up the Windows color chooser. Mix the color you like, but don't change the intensity slider on the right side. When you get the color you want for the highlight mask, click on Add to Custom Colors, and then click on OK.

Next, click on the second color in Color Set 1. Click on the custom color you just saved (it should be the first icon in the list). Again, don't touch the intensity slider (which, if you are watching closely, you will notice is set much higher for the second entry than for the first). Click on OK and repeat this for the remaining two colors, each of which has the intensity slider set for a lighter shade.

On a few themes, you also have to do this for Color Set 2.
