Buying a new PC.....Any suggestions?

I am looking at buying a new PC.

How does Intel's Hyperthreading work with Vegas 4 + DVD? While it is rendering do you notice any performance slow down when running other applications?

How does the new AMD 64 Bit chip handle Vegas renderings?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I love the Lian Li cases. I built my last computer using one and will never use another case for anything serious. It has the construction quality of a by-gone era plus incredible cooling efficiency.
