Buying multiple upgrade licenses

Milnoc wrote on 2/22/2017, 7:39 PM

I have Movie Studio Platinum 13 installed on two computers, a desktop machine and a laptop. Both were purchased separately.

I wanted to order the Movie Studio 14 upgrade for both computers using the link in the email I had received, but the shopping basket doesn't allow me to change the quantity from 1 to 2.

Is there a way to order two upgrade licenses? Or can a single upgrade license be used on both computers?

Vegas Pro 14 can be used on 2 computers simultaneously. I guess Movie Studio 14 can too, but can't confirm that.

As I can remember, with ONE Sony MS license, you were allowed to install and operate MS on THREE computers. So no need to purchase an extra license for your second computer.

Since Magix took over, this policy slightly changes. With ONE license you can install and operate MS on TWO computers. You can install and operate MS on a THIRD computer when you first disable the license on ONE of the TWO already installed computers.

So still, in your case, with just TWO computers, you need only to purchase ONE license.

Ok, that sounds good. I originally have MS Platinum Suite 13 on the first computer, but I prefer to move away from the suite components that I never use anyway and save a few bucks with the regular Platinum upgrade. The second copy (non-suite Platinum) serves as a backup in case the main computer breaks down or if I have to edit a video at the client site.

Thanks!
