Bypass track FX for individual events

Hi, I have some FX applied to my entire track which suite most of my footage however for some of the clips i want to bypass the track FX and use their own.

How can I do this? I know I can rightclick the FX on the track and bypass but this does it for the track. I just want some events to be 'clean' so I can colour correct them and apply unique effects. I dont want to have another track as this affects cross fades.

Thanks

Drag those Events onto a new track.

Yes, I know, but this is the only way to do. It's in the nature of a Track FX that it cannot process or bypass single Events. If it would, it would not be a Track FX.

Keyframes where?

Where the Events are which should be bypassed. Set the keyframes there to default FX value and use "Hold" interpolation to make them jump.

In each Event?

For each which should be bypassed. Having another track is more simple in my opinion but that's a way without having another track. Your choice.

Grazie, if it's a video effect on a track instead of the events, you could just put keyframes on the TRACK around each event that was not to be affected. Then you could turn it off in those areas.

If it's audio, you may still be able to do it depending on whether or not the parameters to be changed are automatible.

Now, would I do it that way? Probably not - especially if the video was dissolving. But it is another option.

I put a FX on the Track Header. I'm using the freebie CartoonR FX

I add a KF to each side of the EVENT I want killed.

Now, where do I find an option to turn OFF the FX?

I am actually looking at 2 KFs now. Where do I use an off option?

You change the settings of the effect for that particular keyframe so that is "turned off" - most effects have a "reset to none" option or something to that effect.
