Hi Jody,
In Cakewalk 9.0 the .wav export function is located in the
Tools menu under Mixdown Audio > Export to File(s). I'm
sure you know this but I'll say it anyway: only Cakewalk
audio tracks are exportable to waves, not MIDI tracks. And
your output file, of course, must be 44.1k 16 bit.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for answering me. Do you have any suggestions how I
could burn a cd using my cakewalk files? Do I have to make
a dat tape? I'm at a loss.

Hi Jody, If you're trying to capture MIDI tracks for a CD
(rather than audio tracks) you have to do it by recording
the audio output of your MIDI device(s). You could do this
externally on DAT and record it back to the computer; or it
should be possible to play back your MIDI tracks while
recording an audio track in Cakewalk (with your synth
output as the audio source). I have not done this myself.
Regardless, you must create an audio track of some kind and
do a "mixdown audio" to create a .wav file as I described
earlier. Then you can make the CD. - Doug
