I dont trust reviews of camcorders unless they are generated by pros---Therefore, I would go over to dv.com, check out the camera forum--lots of pros there. If you really want advise, you can also ask here--there are many pros in this forum with experience with many different cameras. First thing, is that you need to let us know what your goals are----what are you looking to do with your camera.
If you are serious about shooting video start by eliminating cameras with tiny CCD sizes including the Panasonic so-called three chip cameras like the PV-GS120 and such. They are glorified only because in todays pathetically small CCD market they can give you video quality equal to the 1/4 single CCD camera we used to make fun of a few years ago. That's not saying much.
Most of the consumer cams also require that you wade through menus and touch screens to gain any small manual control they might have. You need buttons, wheels, and knobs for manual control.
Save up and get a Sony VX2100.
