Yes, works fine here. Both for subclips created from the timeline as well as for subclips created from the trimmer.

Okay, I get it. I'm just not seeing it previewed when I apply the effect to the subclip in the media pool.

So that leads me to the next question: How do I preview the media fx I'm adding if I'm applying it from the media pool?

To preview it including the fx you applied put it in the timeline.

But you get the point though, right? If you choose to apply mediaFX from the Media Pool there ought to some way of viewing what you're doing. After all, you can apply the filter AND set keyframes without being able to see the image

Would it not show if you added it to the media in the Media Pool, then clicked the Play button, above the Media Pool? I know media will play there and show in the project preview window.

Nope. As far as I can tell it only shows if it's on the timeline.

Media will show then, this is correct, but it will NOT show the filter applied to a subclip this way.

I don't see it on the clip nor the sub clip unless I put it on the timeline.
