Can child tracks follow movement of their parent tracks?

I was wondering if it is possible to have a child track it's parents movements. .i.e. I want to have several identical texts, smaller than the others several tracks deep like a mirror facing a mirror effect where you see yourself lots of times but getting smaller. I would like to pan the effect around but have them move perfectly in sync with each other. Any ideas I tried using compositing children but couldn't get them move together. Maybe somebody out there knows of a better way or if it would be possible in vegas. Also I am planning on using transparency to show through to each one of the duplicated texts.

Cool idea -- I've heard this called recursive texturing. The easiest way I can think of is to establish all the motion on one of the tracks, then copy and paste your keyframes to the other tracks, perhaps adding a delay of one or two frames as you progress down the layers to give it that "infinity mirror" look. Then maybe gradually shrink the tracks with track motion to give the distance feeling, and it should turn out alright. Let me see what you end up with.

Excellent idea! Like it . . I'd like to see your results too.

Like a multitap echo you would apply to a sound track? There must be something available along that line, surely?

Hay thanks Luxo, I used the track motion to create my keyframes then copied the tracks and adjusted the size and the transparancy of the tracks I think this will work I even created a sample veg file you check out I was using it to experiment it kinda sucks write now but I will use this theory for the effect I want. Thanks all, Here is the link to my site if anybody is interested in checking it out.
