I have a VIA 1394 OHCI PCI firewire card (with MS drivers). I just noticed that the latency (almost a full second) is getting almost impossible to work with and there seems to be a lot of people that don't like VIA but do like Pyro. Anyone think buying a Pyro 400 MB/S would instantly solve my problem or are there other areas to test first? .FWIW, the latency is the same, whether it be through my DV/analogue converter (TVone) or camera (Canon XL1S) so I'd think I could rule that out. Plus my system is plenty fast enough(if that's even a factor).
