can i make vcds using vegas 4.0?

i'm trying to use vcdeasy but it's complicating. and i have to buy it to get the full tools

i have vegas 4.0 and i'm wondering how to make a vcd or svcd

i just wanna make a simple one. a still menu screen that has been customized and a simple task of pressing play and it plays the vids i havein it

Vegas 4 (or 5) does not have any tools to allow you to create a VCD with menus. ..but it definitely can be used to create a VCD that merely plays the video.

duh! i should've checked there.

anywyas i'm rendering mpeg2 files into svcd so i can put it on a cd. yeah no menu screen but oh well. atleast all files are high quality output
