Can I turn off the new simultaneous preview and preview only on my external 1394 monitor? The simultaneous preview is nice, but I need to preserve CPU cycles. The difference in overhead is pretty big when doing the simultaneous preview when using an external 1394 monitor. With just the 1394 preview (using Vegas 6 on my P4 3.06), CPU usage on straight playback with no transitions averages around 20% cpu usage. With the simultaneous preview in Vegas 7, It's around 50%. This is one of those things that is not even noticable on a faster PC, but makes all the difference in the world for a PC that is struggling to keep up.
