Hi i have recently tried to capture the hd holiday video from my HVR V1P using a 1394 firewire connection. I can control the camera from the capture program, forward, reverse stop play record etc. When i press play the word stopped disapears off the capture screen the camera starts to play and i can see the video on the cameras screen but there is no video showing on the computers screen. When i press the record button the word stopped disapears off the capture screen and i can see the video on the cameras screen but ththere is no video showing on the computers capture screen and the cature clips Mb does not progess but stays at zero.

This is the first time i have tried it with my new computer. it did not come with a firewire port so i fitted one that connects to the mother board. because of the problem, as well as using the driver with the card i have also tried using a legacy driver with no effect.

I have recently updated the software which was "as from the box" but this has had no effect as well. the software is set on default for everything as i want it to be as close to manufacture spec to see if it works but no luck.

Computer is running win 7 64bit
Vegas movie studio platinum 9 version 9b build 92 (if this is any help)
