I know that Vegas offers dual monitor support. I also know that if I turn on my camcorder & connect it to a TV I can preview from the timeline.
Is it possible to combine these 2 things so that you can be using dual monitor support when one you are really only using one monitor & I TV?
Not really, some video card like the ATI's have a composite or s vid out that you can turn on and use as a second display but in most cases the resolution on the ntsc is not going to display computer text very well. And most of the time it changes the size of your monitor display too.
Bottom line, not worth doing, much better off with two monitors and using the ntsc mon/tv for external preview.
To paraphrase Spot "even two 15 monitors are better than 1 19 or 21" monitor." even if you do two crts (cheapest) its worth it.
I have one 19" sony crt and bought a 17" 16x9 lcd.
cant go back to just one screen , ever.
Its one of the better investments you can make for your editing workspace.
besides you can pick up a dual monitor supported vid card cheap too now days
