OK... this might not be a DVDA problem, but I can't burn DVDs in DVDA or Ulead's DVD Workshop on my relatively new Dual AMD MP 1800+ system running Windows XP Professional.
I used to have no problems on my older P3 800 system when using DVD Workshop, but it has never worked on the new system, and now DVDA doesn't work either.
I have a Pioneer DVR-A04, and I did NOT install any of the packet writing software or any Pinnacle stuff or Roxio stuff either. I can burn DVDs just fine with the RecordNow DX software and can make video DVDs by making an ISO image from DVD Workshop and then burning that image from RecordNow. But, DVD Workshop and DVDA can't burn right to the DVD player... they start, and then there is an error before anything really gets written at all.
Does anyone else have this problem and know of a solution. Overall I'm very much regretting being talked into the Dual AMD machine (which was based on the Pete Leoni designed machine featured in Electronic Musician last summer) since I've been having some problems in my audio apps with VST instrument plug-ins as well.
This was my fist attempt at using DVDA, and it's not been a good one. I can't preview any of my projects in DVDA either (get another error message). I wanted to be able to do Dolby Digital for myself and my clients, which is the main reason I upgraded to the VV4 + DVDA package since Ulead DVD Workshop won't do it... but, if I can't get around these basic problems, it will have been a big waste of money.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Steve
