Hi, when I install vegas and first time use custom settings for encode, it works. But when I try to make an customized setting I can't because the custom button doesn't work. Why this happen? is there a solution to that?
That happens with vegas 4 and now 5.
thx.

"Spot" answer me:

It may be that your MPEG encoder isn't registered correctly.
Do you know how to manage your registry? If so,
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARESonyMC MPEG Plug-In1.0License]
"CurrentKey"="XX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX"
"InstFlags"=dword:00000010
you'll see numbers or letters, not the "X's".

But doesn't work, any other idea??

Do you have other entries in that registry area besides those two? If yes, get rid of them.

Thank you very much!! that works perfect! There was a "key" value that has the same string that Current key, I erase it and problem gone.
Thanks again "amigo".

There is a long and detailed thread on this about 2 months ago. I think I had this problem and solved it running the migration tool. I don't recommend messing with the registry unless you know what you are doing and it is in the morning and sober.
