99% this is "pilot error" not bug. Need more info. Can you share a screen shot of what you are doing? Are the files open in another program or "locked" in some other way? All kinds of media or just one kind?

I have .jpg, .mp4, and .mp3 files for a project in that are in my Explorer window. I wanted to drag them into the timeline (as I've done since Vegas Pro 4.0). Something has changed in V17 that prevents me from doing this.

OK, not seeing anything obvious. Can't replicate the problem here. As a long-term user it's less likely pilot error, but I still think it's likely something very specific/unusual. You could try resetting to the standard UI layout and colour to see if that makes a difference. Other than that, to debug, you need to start with all the system, project and media details.

Figured it out. Turns out it was a Windows issue as I couldn't drag and drop or copy and paste between file windows. Restarted and it works now. Thanks for the comments Kinvermark!
