can't drag some .wav files on to timeline

hi, i downloaded some music (.wav) clips and imported them into movie studio. however i can't drag them on to the timline. i've no problem doing this with all my other audio files that are also .wav. anyone know why some work and some don't?

It could be an incompatible codec or copy protection.

A simple fix is to burn it to a music CD (I keep a couple CD-RWs around for just this) and then rip it back to the computer.

This is also, as many know, a great workaround for using copy protected music from iTunes and Microsoft Music.

I converted them from wav to mp3 and they worked fine. Thanks anyway
