Can't Edit P2 in XP64 :(

Just did a nice clean install of XP64 SP2, all my best apps, drivers, updates, etc. and after 10 hours of reboots I just discovered that Panasonic's P2 Viewer won't run on XP64. Raylight uses Panasonic's P2 software to make Vegas work with P2 MXFs.

AFAIK That makes it impossible to edit P2 files on Vegas. P2 Viewer runs on Vista 64, and 32-bit XP though. What a bummer.

Anybody know any workarounds or plans for future XP64 support from Panasonic? Is there a way to install just the needed P2 drivers by hand from my XP32 drive?

I still have my XP32 to fall back on, but I was looking forward to the extra memory and processor utilization.

(I also noticed that XP64 doesn't seem to want WMP11. Wondering if that's a related issue.)

I've got XP x64 and I've got a very large number of programs successfully running on it. But some of them did need a lot of manual intervention to get them running. i.e. Checking how the programs installed on XP 32 bit and then moving files around to the correct directories in x64, or just stealing executables from the 32-bit installation and putting them in the right directories in the 64-bit installation. Lots of jiggery pokery, especially with programs whose installers incorrectly assume that your Program Files will be sitting at c:\Program Files.

The only program that defeated me is Dreamweaver (versions since MX2004).

If this is actually a hardware driver not running then that is another problem that can't be fixed unless they write a 64-bit driver. 32 bit and 64 bit drivers are just different.

There is a dedicated XP x64 version of WMP I think. My x64 machine isn't here at the moment but I'm sure I've got WMP11 running on it.
