Can't find my Sony camcorder via Sony viao's capture card.

Can't do DV to tape. As the video factory can't find my
capture card in my Sony Viao.
Any ideas ?

Forget it. Sony sucks big time. I have two Sony laptop
vaios, both with Firewire ports. Neither of them worked. I
tryed Sony support forums and tech support - this was a
total waste of time. I did the SFsony upgrade - this didnt
work either. Sonic Foundry tech support was pleasant, but
couldn't help either. Go out and get a PC card IEEE
1394/firewire card - mine was from SIIG. cost around $85
bucks, but it saves a lot of hassle and it has been error
free every since.
