Can't get audio to capture

Hi,
I'm using an xl1s. I have an upcoming wedding I will be shooting and I have a very frustrating problem that I can't seem to get around. When I capture the video using SF video capture, the video always comes in perfect. But the audio never comes in at all! I've tried changing the settings in the software. In the preferences its set to capture the audio, which I guess it does. Cause when I play it in a media player it sounds perfect. But when I drag it into vegas... nothing! No sound at all! Anybody have this problem before?

Andrew

P.S. I've recorded using 16-bit audio, with the onboard mic & in SP mode. But like I said it works fine if I open it up in Windows Media Player or anything like that.

If anyone has an answer to this, I'd like to hear it. I can play the files back in vidcap or media player and hear the sound, but vegas doesn't know the audio stream exists.

Are you selecting from the Trimmer? If so, you may have that set to select video only. Right-mouse-button click in the trimmer window and choose "Select Video and Audio".

I actrually don't use the Trimmer much. I open tjhe files from Explorer or drag and drop to the timeline..
Since I posted I bought Scenalyzer Live and love it, no issues I can find with it and no missing audio track.
