Can't Get Authorization Code?

I've been trying for the last 3 days to register and open Vegas 7 and DVDA4, the online registration won't work...I keep getting errors. I tried the "register from another computer" option,but Sony won't send me the authorization code. I've tried calling several times but give up after waiting 20 minutes.
HELP!

just used the online registration this morning on a new XP install...not sure what the problem is, but it has to be a problem on your end...what msg are you seeing?

It states:
Required field missing(mayshareinfo)

I have all the required fields filled, I don't know what the problem is?

Yes they're checked.
I remember seeing that there is a live chat with tech support with sony but I can't seem to find it. Anyone have the link?

I filled in every field, I even made stuff up for the "2nd address" and "company" just to see if that mattered. Both boxes are checked(there's only 2)

sorry, I'm at a loss, I thought perhaps that you hadn't included a valid email, and because the box is checked it needs it to send you info, but that is obviously not it...

I had a problem with the online registration for a non-connected computer once (using computer A to register computer B).

Since it was an upgrade, it remembered some of my data on the form, but it added a space to the end of my email address field. Failed every time. I took the space out, and it worked fine. That may help.

I guess if it's an upgrade it is expecting the same info on your Sony profile. Another thought.

For the benefit of others who search the forum for this bug, I explain the cause of this problem is having a "#" character in the address field when you submit your registration info. Like apt #204...

When I try to register online, the error "Required field missing (MayShareInfo)" appears. How do I register?

This is usually caused by a # sign in the address field of the registration information. Try removing the # sign (or change the # to No., etc.) and then try to register once again.
