Search for how to reset Vegas on startup. Failing that, probably a plugin blocking it. Delete them and try again.

Is this a new installation? If so, and you have a number of sfx packages installed as well, just leave it alone for several minutes. The first time mine starts up after doing the shift-ctrl reset startup it can take almost 5 minutes to come up with just Sapphire installed.

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]
Resolution        3840 x 2160 x 60 hertz
Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram

So, I updated windows and it allowed me to open Vegas 17... Now, when I render projects, using an Acer Nitro gaming laptop, it's hit or miss. Sometimes it renders, sometimes it doesn't. I just went and bought a new laptop today, so I'll keep you all posted. My new laptop is a Dell G5. Thanks
