Can't import avchd

I have got movie studio platinum pro 9 which should import avchd content. When i connect my sony HDR SR12E it recognises the drive but won't import the video it comes up with an error message to say corrupt/unrecognised content. As a test I downloaded the trial version of Pro 8 and it captures the content without any problems. Is this a settings issue?

That's a bug. Email the Sony support.

I just let the Sony software that came with the camcorder copy the content locally to a hard drive and then use those folders as my source for Vegas. It seems to do an OK job of creating folders for the dates and only copying in new video and leaving the old stuff alone that I haven't deleted yet from the camcorder.

But, yeah, it should still work in vegas 9, just giving you an option for a workaround.
