Can't launch Vegas 21 trial

Hello,

 

I have just installed version 21.1 with a trial key. However, it is impossible to launch the software, it crashes without returning an error at start up. Here are my computer specs :

 

- Windows 11

- Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900KF, 3200 MHz

- 32GB RAM

- Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090

- 10 TB of storage

 

I tried the following solutions : disconnect internet and changing the date, as well as reinstalling the entire Pro suite. In doubt, I also installed version 20 without success (same problem). All other software offered in the package works perfectly.

 

Any advice ?

Changing the date and internet was for a problem that's long been resolved.

Recently we've had issues with people unable to install in in French due to some kind of a plugin conflict? You aren't installing it in French are you?

Are there plugins including audio VSTs that could be causing problems? Perhaps temporarily uninstall or move them to other folders.

Yup, that was it ! I'll keep the US version. Do you have a link to follow the evolution of the subject ? I don't have any plugins, my computer has just been installed, I will run a script to look for the presence of such files.

Very interesting that is affecting both 20 and 21!

There's some discussion here and also a request to contact VEGAS support as they really do want to get to the bottom of what it causing this problem.

When you do get the system stabilized consider filling out the render/playback benchmarks in my signature- your computer may end up top on the list!
