Can''t load BMPCC clips into Vegas Pro 13

I installed Vegas 13 on one Win 7 machine and tried to drop BMPCC ProRes clips onto the timeline. Vegas 13 won't accept them. Edius and Premiere open the clips just fine on the same machine.

I have Vegas 12 on an older Win 7 machine and it also accepts the clips without any complaint.

As it stands I can't migrate to Vegas 13 because of this problem.

Both machines have Quicktime Pro installed. I even tried going back to an older version of QT but that didn't help.

Thanks

Looks like a problem for Blackmagic and Sony to figure out. I don't think you're missing anything. Any recent version of QuickTime for the PC supports reading ProRes files. Since it works on Vegas Pro 12.0 it sure sounds like a bug in Vegas Pro 13.0. :(

Ha! Just for the heck of it I tried bringing the BMPCC files into an old copy of Vegas 9 on the same computer.

Worked fine! Guess it's time to either fall back to 12 or forget about it and just move on to Premiere or Edius. I have the full Creative Cloud so Premiere is cheaper than Vegas come to think of it.

I feel like there might be something else wrong. I have edited both ProRes and HQ on Vegas 13 on win 8.1.

Are you drag and dropping or importing? I have found sometimes Vegas will import, but not drag and drop.

If you want to upload a stop start clip to gdrive, some of us can try it on our end.

Interesting. When I try "Import" it lists the file types it can accept. .MOV is not on the list!

What goes?

I have latest QT pro 7 installed on this computer.

By the way, I'm on Win 7

.mov should be under the QuickTime 7 in the import list. There must be something else wrong.
