I tried searching thru old forum topics on this but I see conflicting answers (also tried emailing SF but Netscape freezes when I click the email support button for SF).
What's happening is I recorded a rhthym track in Vegas (the Lite version) and now I want to record a 2nd track while listening to the first. I can't hear the recording track (tho' I do see the meter rising and when I'm finished the audio is there). Can you monitor when you record on Vegas or not?
I'd swear I've monitored before on Vegas. But I can't remember if it was on a friend's Vegas Pro or not. I remember I was transferring my old 4 track recordings to the hard drive and didn't really need to monitor since I was just hitting record and walking away. But I knew to come back from doing the dishes because I heard the end of that track coming thru my computer speakers.
Was I recording in a fugue state, or what? Temporarily transported to Mars? Does Vegas monitor or not?
Oh yeah, I'm just using an old Soundblaster on my Athlon AMD (still waiting for my tax return).
Thanks,
Terry
