And what was that "something"?
AFAIK it is by default in VPro only possible to move the Media Generators of "Titles & Text" in the preview window.

I agree with Vliegvisser, And those have to have their active effx window open before you can move them.

It is also possible to move the new Picture in Picture FX and Crop FX controls around the preview window.

@Corsaka Please post a screenshot of exactly what you mean.

http://prntscr.com/j9k6zt This bit, here. I'm unable to move anything within it, whereas before (by before I mean first time in the app) I could. Note this is the latest version of Vegas Pro 14.

You first have to select and activate the "Generated Media button ïn your text event on the timeline before it is possible to move the text in the preview screen,

after that it is possible to change its position

Vegas 14 does not have on screen controls for the preview window. You can move the text in the preview box of the media generator as Vliegvisser et al suggest. It should then update in the preview window.

"Vegas 14 does not have on screen controls for the preview window."

Some rare plug-ins do (even in Vegas Pro 13), just like Titles & Text, Smart Zoom, Cookie Cutter and also some 3rd party plug-ins like Ignite Warp FX. Them all need the FX window to be opened to make positioning work in the preview window.

Ooops! Yes, you are right. Thanks for correcting my mis-information. I guess I just never use those elements that have on-screen controls, so never noticed.

I think vegas 16s first main issue is this topic. I am on vegas 16 and can't control anything ( third party prog such as boris lens flare etc.) on preview screen. It isn't let me to catch the plus (+) cursor to move things whereever I want. I can control it in fx window "pivot point" but its too difficult than on preview screen.

The problem probably the 360 output preview but I couldn't solve the problem yet. Anyone has the same problem ?

This is a known issue. It's logged already

Thanks but I think it's first time seen issue. Corsaka's issue is not a bug. So it isn't match with mine even so I wrote in this topic may be someone working on it.

Exactly what you described above an hour ago is known and logged for VP16.

Ah so sorry. May I have any link for that topic please ? I didn't see in "[Release] VEGAS Pro 16 – Powerful video production & audio editing"

This issue is fixed in build 261 now.
