Can't open Vegas Pro 15 "Error -59". Help!

d20love wrote on 10/12/2020, 12:03 AM

Purchased Vegas Pro 15 Edit via Humble Bundle, which was working just fine on my laptop as of late last year. Tried to install on a new PC, after a fairly fresh install of Windows 10 (it's only been about a month and a half or so since the clean install). Installing Pro 15 Edit caused my PC to bluescreen twice before I could finally get it installed fully, and now after a completed install, I'm getting "Error code: -59" "An error occurred starting VEGAS Pro. There is no license to use this software."

I definitely have a working license for this, since it was working with no issue on the same license on my laptop prior to this. I even went into my account and removed the license from my laptop, reinstalled, and am still seeing the same error message. Please advise, thank you!

Followed the instructions on that page, but am still receiving the same error. Sent a ticket to support, hopefully that helps me. Thanks!

Hello,

I cannot open vegas pro 15, it says error 59. if I uninstall vegas pro 15 and then re-install as the instructions in this post recommend will I lose all my work and 3rd party plugins? I was working on a video at the time..I did just install an external hard drive, could this be the problem? Thanks
