Can't print to tape

Why is this such a big deal. V6 walks me through every step and then it won't let me click on finish. I can only select back as if an option hasn't yet been selected. The help has done nothing to tell me what I still need. I wish this was as easy as iMovie was on the Mac where a simple export option and wham it happened. I've done print to tape before along time ago and it was a problem then. Someone helped answer the question but today I can't seem to figure it out.
Please anyone before I reconsider getting V7.

It made since to go through the Print to Tape tab but that didn't allow me to click on finish. I went back and tried every different option like I was cracking a code through process of elimination. I went to capture mode and found Print to Tape option there. Again with a process of "whats this do" I found opening the desired clips and adding them to a list. That's when I relized that I had to render the clip because it was not yet in the list of files to choose from. So, I went back and renderd it and then tried to go to Print to Tape to see if that did the trick. Nope. I then navigated to capture and back to creating the list. It worked but it did not lay down colorbars(no big deal). Long story short- I got the end result that I was looking for but a very complicated proccess to say the least.
