Does your device support DV-in? Some PAL devices only support DV-out.

What is displayed on the Status bar when using the Print to Tape tab?

Make sure to load a file into the Print list.

I've printed to tape in Vegas Video 3 with this same camera? There is a file loaded in the print list. I have device control but it says "No device detected" on the status bar? Under the Video tap on the tool bar it says "Microsoft DV Camera and VCR" but theres no check by it - and I seem to remember there being more than one selection in VV3? I think its a driver issue?

Hmm...strange...

In the General Preferences, make sure "Close current device when in file playback mode" is unchecked. In fact, you may want to default all the Preferences pages to be safe, or uninstall and reinstall Vegas4.

Can you go back and check if it still works in Vegas3's Video Capture?

If you just have one DV device as a capture device, then you should only see one device listed under the video menu.

Defaulting all the preferences did the trick! Thankyou for your quick assistance.
