Can't register DVDA 2.0

ewg wrote on 12/11/2005, 6:39 AM
I recently reinstalled my OS and applications. After installing VV 5 and DVDA 2 I opened programs and entered serial nuber to register. VV 5 works fine. DVDA seemed to register but everytime I open the program it prompts me to register after which the splash screen says 30 trial version. This is a boxed set (not download) and it worked in past when I rebuit the computer. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Using Windows XP Service Pack 2?

There was a problem registering earlier releases of DVDA2 on machines with XP Service Pack 2 (DVDA2 came out before SP2 did). If this is applicable to you, you can either download the most current update of Vegas 5 (which was supposed to fix this problem) or try the instructions in this thread.

You should probably download the updates, at any rate, whether this addresses your registration issue or not.

if it won't register via the net then just call tech suppt. But, it hsould register via the net (if everything is ok). V5/DVDA2 were released after the SF sale.

If that was for me, I didn't say anything about Sonic Foundry. :)

Okay, but he didn't mention Sonic Foundry either. Not picking on you, I'm just trying to figure out why you brought them up.
