Can''t ''Render As'' .mp3 - Any suggestions?

Vegas Audio won't render correctly to an .mp3 format of any
kind, low quality or high. It goes through the 'motions',
but the resulting file is almost pure white noise (static)
with an occasional blip of the song several db below the
noise. I can't render multi-track projects or a single
stereo 44/16 .wav file to mp3.

It is correctly rendering my 44/24 multi-tracks to a single
44/16 stereo .wav file.

Has anyone seen or heard of this?

thanks

Are you guys using the new Vegas 2.0d update? I just tried
both 16/44 and 24/44 to mp3 and it works fine-

I am, I think it has something to do with the MP3 plugin. I
heard you shoul remove it and re install . But beware you
have to re register too . I have tried it and it hasent
worked though.

2.0c has a bug that was to be corrected in 2.0d. I haven't
upgraded yet, so I don't know.

The bug is as follows:

If default properties are not set to 16 bit, prior to
the 'render' of the .mp3, it renders garbage. My default
is always 44.1/24, so I continually got garbage. I finally
discovered that before the 'render', if I reset the bit
depth to 16, it rendered properly.

I turned this in, and as I stated, it was 'supposed' to be
fixed. YMMV! Hope this helps,
