If you have Render loop/selected region enable, it looks like you have no frames selected. Try double clicking on the timeline clip, then try the render.

I don't have it enabled. I just now tried though by doing what you said (double clicked the timeline to highlight it, tried w/ enabling the loop/selected region as well as disabled - nothing worked).

It's only with those two codecs (well, that I care about anyway - haven't tried them all). The main one I use (Mainconcept AVC/AAC) works fine. I'd like to be able to try HEVC out though.

To render to ProRes and hevc, you need an additional activation. The 1St time you try to render a window should popup and ask you to activate it..

BTW, you don't need to have QuickTime install to use ProRes and hevc with Vegas,

+1 what GJeffrey said.

Can you open ProRes and HEVC files in Vegas? You can get some ProRes samples from http://www.cinemartin.com/cinec/samples/ and some HEVC samples from https://x265.com/hevc-video-files/ Opening them might trigger the additional activation process, as long as that machine is connected to the internet. If they open, right click on the video stream on the timeline (audio stream must be deselected) > Properties > General, then see what plugin is being used. The HEVC/ProRes decoder is mxhevcplug.dll. The Quicktime decoder is qt7plug.dll. If qt7plug.dll is being used then it indicates the additional activation has failed somehow.

Thanks guys. Sorry for not responding, I don't check my email very frequently throughout the day.

Anyway, after the window not popping up when trying HEVC videos, I decided to uninstall, restart (PC), and reinstall Vegas. I then tried another HEVC video and it popped up. I'm now rendering a video using HEVC as we speak (it sure is taking a while though). My best guess is that the .dll was corrupt or something (really not sure though, I'm not all too advanced when it comes to the ins and outs of files). I'm glad I got it working though. :)
