Can't render to AVID uncompressed

Former user wrote on 4/28/2006, 8:04 AM
I am using Vegas Version 4 and am trying to render to the AVID Uncompressed codecs. I have tried to use the Meridien and the Avid 1:1x and both fail as soon as they start.

I can render to the Meridien compressed codec fine, but I need to use this on an Adrenaline system so I would like uncompressed.

Any ideas?

Take this lightly, as I'm only guessing. I use VV4 too. Couldn't you get the free "Virtual Dub", find the Panasonic codec and then frameserve from Vegas (using Satishs free Frameserver) to Virtual Dub and the outcome would be uncompressed AVI.
From there, I have no idea if it would work with AVID. Just expect a gigantic avi file when it's done. (about 90GB per hour)
Maybe somebody else knows and can add on to this.

I tried that, but Virtualdub does not give me the option for the AVID codec. Probably because it is a Quicktime format.

Thanks for the help though.
